The Exchange Club of Spencer is a dynamic, caring group of volunteers, men and women working together, who take an active role in helping make a positive difference in the community.
In addition, Exchange members develop leadership, networking, and organizational skills that contribute to success in business, family and personal endeavors. The members help build a better community, and in doing so, brings out the best in themselves.
Dedicated to Community Service
Throughout the years, the Exchange Club of Spencer has been responsible for community improvements of all types such as: the beautification of town parks, the Town Hall clock restoration, Memorial Day flags, and the Spencer Little League Association refreshment booth. The Exchange Club has also provided thousands of dollars for scholarships, gifts, equipment, sponsorships, educational endeavors and other causes.
Fund Raising – Helping Neighbors
Several local fund raisers are held each year in order to raise money to support the Exchange Club’s local Community Service Fund. Each year the Exchange Club of Spencer sets goals to help support local worthwhile events such as Winter Coats for Needy Children, the Spencer Police Association Toys for Tots, Toys for Joy, the DPHS/Spencer Exchange Club Scholarship. Project DARE, Care Bears for the Spencer Police Department, Mary, Queen of the Rosary Food Pantry and many more.
Two of the most successful fund raisers that allow the Exchange Club to give back to the community are the Annual Golf Tournament and the Tollbooth. The Tollbooth is held every fall where the Exchange Club sets up a Tollbooth throughout various locations in Spencer. The proceeds collected go the the “Warm Clothing for Children” program.
Thanks to the people of Spencer and the surrounding towns, we are able to provide many successful programs to the Town of Spencer and to make a real difference for many area youths.
